Pushkar Camel Fair 2025
Pushkar Camel Fair – Rajasthan’s Cultural Festival
The Pushkar Camel Fair is one of the most famous and colorful festivals of Rajasthan, celebrated every year in the sacred town of Pushkar during Kartik Purnima (October–November). Known as the world’s largest camel and livestock fair, it draws thousands of traders, pilgrims, photographers, and international tourists who come to witness its vibrant charm.
The highlight of the fair is the sight of thousands of decorated camels, horses, and cattle paraded and traded in the desert grounds. Visitors can enjoy unique competitions such as camel races, longest mustache contests, and traditional folk performances. The atmosphere is filled with Rajasthani music, dance, and cultural shows that beautifully showcase the region’s rich heritage.
Apart from the fairground, Pushkar holds deep spiritual significance. Devotees gather to take a holy dip in the Pushkar Lake and offer prayers at the sacred Brahma Temple, making it a blend of culture and spirituality.
The fair also hosts vibrant bazaars where travelers can shop for handicrafts, textiles, jewelry, and souvenirs. Adventure enthusiasts can take part in hot air balloon rides and desert safaris for breathtaking views.
The Pushkar Camel Fair is more than a festival—it is a once-in-a-lifetime experience that combines tradition, festivity, and adventure, making it a must-visit during your Rajasthan tour packages.
